Nintendo Switch 2 has outsold Wii U, SEGA Dreamcast, PS Vita in the UK

We don’t have a ton of information about Nintendo Switch 2’s sales in the UK, but one interesting piece of data has now come in.

The new console has outsold Wii U, SEGA Dreamcast, and the PlayStation Vita. That’s according to the latest data provided by NielsenIQ.

Nintendo Switch 2 is said to be above Switch 1 in the UK. Comparing to Switch 1 in 2017, The Game Business reporter Christopher Dring says it’s “a reasonable chunk above.”

Earlier this year, we heard that Switch 2 had become the fastest-selling Nintendo system in UK history. 3DS was the previous record holder. Additionally, Nintendo Switch 2 outsold the launch of the Switch by more than two to one.

Nintendo’s data indicates that Switch 2 had sold over ten million units worldwide by September 30, 2025. Our next official sales update from the company will be available on February 3, 2026.
