Nintendo Switch 2 revealed, Direct in April
Nintendo has finally made an official announcement regarding its next gaming system, the Switch 2. It is confirmed to launch later in 2025.
A first tease was just posted in a video today. We don’t see much other than the system itself and Mario Kart. However, a Nintendo Direct is confirmed to be happening on April 2, 2025.
Nintendo was previously rumored to be unveiling the new console this week. The company hadn’t said much about it other than the fact that it would be making an announcement by the end of the fiscal year and that it will feature backwards compatibility with the current Switch.
Much of what has been rumored is now confirmed from today’s video. Fans were previously able to get a look at the system through various leaks, including the updated Joy-Con.
