Nintendo Switch 2 sees best gaming hardware launch ever in Spain, doubles original Switch
We have another Nintendo Switch 2 sales report, this time from Spain.
According to Gamereactor, the console sold 108,000 units in the region for its release. This is based on sales recorded between last Thursday and Sunday.
Nintendo Switch 2 now has the record for the best gaming hardware launch ever in Spain. PSP last held that spot with 54,000 units sold upon release. Nintendo Switch 2 has also doubled its predecessor – Nintendo’s last system sold 45,000 units at launch.
Here’s a look at the top selling launch consoles (units):

- PSP – 54,000
- PS5 – 48,000
- Nintendo Switch – 45,000
- PS4 – 38,000
- PS3 – 35,000
- PS Vita – 22,000
- Nintendo 3DS – 19,000
- Wii, Xbox 360, Xbox Series – 15,000
- Wii U – 9,000
We also have some information about software. Mario Kart World sold 95,000 units, split between 90,000 copies from the hardware bundle and 5,000 units standalone. Mario Kart World is now the second best-selling game of 2025 in Spain, only behind EA Sports FC 25 (which is on multiple platforms and had a longer window of availability).
