Nintendo Switch Online app update out now (version 2.2.0), patch notes
A new update just went out for the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app, with users now being able to access version 2.2.0.
A couple of new features are included here. First, it’s now possible to send friend requests with a friend code, though they can only be accepted on Switch itself. Functionality has also been added so that you can copy your friend code as a URL and/or save it as a QR code.
The full patch notes for the Nintendo Switch Online app version 2.2.0 update are as follows:
– You can now send friend requests using your friend code. (Accepting a friend request requires a Nintendo Switch console.)
– You are now able to copy your friend code as a URL and/or save it as a QR code, which others can then use to send you friend requests.
– Other minor changes have also been implemented.
– System requirements have been updated to iOS 14.0
Nintendo has gradually added features to the Switch Online app over time. Earlier this year, a feature was made available to see which friends are online. We’ve also seen other elements such as a Dark Mode.
The new 2.2.0 update for the Nintendo Switch Online app is now available for all users on both iOS and Android.
