Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program announced

The Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program has just been announced, which is intended to test a new feature for the service.

Aside from being a member of the Expansion Pack tier, in order to participate, you need live in Japan, The United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, or Spain. Additionally, only those that are at least 18 years old are eligible.

Unfortunately, Nintendo doesn’t say what the feature for Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program is. Those that are selected will find out when it actually begins. We do know that you’ll need to download a piece of Switch software.

You can register your interest here when applications begin on October 10 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM in the UK / 5 PM in Europe. As many as 10,000 users can be accepted. The recruitment period ends on October 15, but that may end early if the participants limit is reached before then. The playtest period itself will take place between October 23 and November 5.
