Octopath Traveler I and II combined shipments and digital sales top five million

Square Enix has shared a new sales milestones for the Octopath Traveler series. Since launch, total shipments and digital sales for the RPGs have surpassed five million units worldwide.

That news was shared in an official tweet today. A special piece of art was posted to celebrate, which we have below:

To celebrate the occasion, Square Enix have discounted both titles on the Nintendo eShop until January 7, 2025.

Octopath Traveler launched for Nintendo Switch on July 13, 2018, and its sequel, Octopath Traveler II, launched on February 24, 2023. It surpassed one million sales a few months later in June 2023.
