Irrational Games’ Ken Levine has a Wii U. He likes it, in fact. But that doesn’t mean we’ll see any of his games on the console anytime soon.
When asked if he had any news to share about Wii U, Levine said:
“We never had any news on the Wii U. I bought one and I like it. I play games on it! But in terms of development, nothing is brewing right now.”
So I guess BioShock Infinite won’t be released for Wii U? Though I don’t think anyone was counting on that happening…
The Homebrew Channel is now officially working on Wii U. While you can’t use the functionality in the console’s native OS, you can boot up the app through Wii mode.
All Homebrew Channel functionality works on Wii U. BootMii was initially unavailable, but it seems as though this was added back in following an update.
There are more details about the Homebrew Channel running on Wii U here.

Word on the street is that the next Assassin’s Creed game will take in Brazil. Ubisoft Brazil managing director Bertrand Chaverot, speaking with Techtudo, revealed the setting a few days ago.
While the rumor sounds plausible, don’t expect an official confirmation from Ubisoft anytime soon.

According to Longbow Research’s James Hardiman, the Wii U has been achieving an attach rate of 1.2 games sold per system. That tidbit is based on NPD data gathered in the US last month. The Wii saw a rate of two titles sold for every console when it launched in 2006.
So why have buyers been purchasing fewer Wii U games compared to Wii? Hardiman believes that consumers may not be inclined to pick up another game due to Nintendo Land’s inclusion in the Deluxe set, or the price tag of the Wii U is dissuading them from spending extra cash on releases.
