Pikmin 4 multiplayer Unreal Engine

Pikmin 4 is about a month away, and new details are starting to surface confirming aspects such as split-screen multiplayer and how the game was made with Unreal Engine 4. Some notable tidbits are included on the official download card that’s now popping up across Japanese retailers.

In terms of actual gameplay, split-screen multiplayer is now confirmed. Additionally, a second player is able to provide support by shooting with a reticle. Another aspect pointed out on the card is how you can enter a house. Finally, there’ll be new treasures like fidget spinners, origami, and beach balls.

Another small tidbit confirmed by the download card is that Pikmin 4 was made with Unreal Engine. It’s obviously not the first Nintendo game built with that tech, but some folks might be interested in knowing that technical tidbit.

The download card also provides us with a fresh set of screenshots. You can see the card in full along with the latest images above.

Pikmin 4 launches for Switch on July 21, 2023. Let us know what you think about all of the latest details in the comments below.
