Original (6/22): Starting today, Nintendo Switch Online members can access new user icons for the Pikmin series. This ties in with Pikmin 1 + 2, which launched digitally on the eShop yesterday after the Nintendo Direct, and with Pikmin 4, which releases next month on July 21.
New icons will be going live every Thursday. The original red, blue, and yellow Pikmin are being represented in the first wave, with the purple and white Pikmin introduced in Pikmin 2 being set to feature next week.
Fans can get their hands on characters, backgrounds, and frames. Each icon costs 10 or 5 Platinum Points via My Nintendo. Remember that if your Nintendo Switch Online subscription expires, you’ll still be able to keep any icon you claimed.
