Pokemon GO adding Mega Alakazam as part of Psychic Spectacular Event

Niantic has announced details for the return of Pokemon GO‘s Psychic Spectacular Event, which will include the debut of Mega Alakazam. The event will be held between September 6, 2022, at 10 AM to Monday, September 12, 2022, at 8 PM local time.
Here’s the rundown of the Psychic Spectacular Event in Pokemon GO with Mega Alakazam:
- More Pokémon Appearances –
- Mythical Pokémon Deoxys will be appearing in raids
- Mega Alakazam will make its debut in Mega Raids
- Shiny Elgyem will be available to encounter for the first time in Pokémon GO
- Evolve Kadabra (Abra’s Evolution) or catch Alakazam in raids during the event to get an Alakazam that knows the Charged Attack Psychic
- The following Pokémon will be available to encounter through:
- Wild Encounters –
- Abra*, Slowpoke*, Drowzee*, Natu*, Ralts*, Spoink*, Munna, Woobat*, Gothita, Solosis, Elgyem*
- If Trainers are lucky: Kadabra, Kirlia
- Raids –
- One-Star Raids: Unown E, Unown P, Unown S, Espurr*
- Three-Star Raids: Alolan Raichu*, Wobbuffet*, Girafarig*, Oranguru
- Five-Star Raids: Normal Forme Deoxys*, Attack Forme Deoxys*, Defense Forme, Deoxys*, Speed Forme Deoxys*
- Mega Raids: Mega Alakazam*
- 7 km Eggs – Smoochum*, Wynaut*, Chingling
- Field Research – Baltoy*, Chimecho*, if Trainers are lucky: Hypno
- Timed Research – Complete tasks focused on Curveball Throws to earn multiple encounters with Elgyem
- Deoxys Raid Day – The following event bonuses will be available on Sunday, September 11, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time:
- Deoxys* will be appearing in Five-Star Raids in all of its forms
- All forms of Deoxys will be appearing more frequently in raids
- Earn up to five additional daily Raid Passes
*If Trainers are lucky, they may encounter a Shiny one.
