Pokemon GO adding Mega Glalie with Winter Holiday Part 1 event

Pokemon GO has unveiled a Winter Holiday Part 1 event, which will see the debut of Mega Glalie (as well as Shiny Bergmite). This will be held between Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 10 AM to Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 8 PM local time.

Here’s the full rundown on the Pokemon GO Winter Holiday Part 1 event with Mega Glalie:

• Pokémon Debut – Mega Glalie* will appear in Mega Raids. 
• Event bonuses:
  • 50% more XP for winning Raid Battles.
  • Trainers can store up to 40 Gifts until the end of the event.
  • Trainers will see a variety of new avatar items in the shop.
  • Earn event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops and opening Gifts. 
• Encounters – Trainers can encounter the following through:
  • Wild Encounters
    • Pikachu wearing a Winter Carnival outfit*, Swinub*, Delibird*, Snorunt*, Spheal wearing a holiday outfit*, Snover*, Vanillite, Cubchoo*, Bergmite*
    • If Trainers are lucky: Alolan Vulpix*, Stantler wearing a holiday outfit*, Cryogonal 
  • 7 km Eggs
    • Sneasel*, Smoochum*, Amaura, Bergmite*, Crabrawler
  • Raids
    • One-Star Raids: Pikachu wearing a Winter Carnival outfit*, Alolan Vulpix*, Spheal wearing a holiday outfit*, Galarian Darumaka*, Bergmite*
    • Three-Star Raids: Cloyster, Lapras*, Stantler wearing a holiday outfit*, Glaceon wearing an Undersea Holiday outfit*
    • Five-Star Raids: Cobalion*
    • Mega Raids: Mega Glalie*
  • Featured Attack – Cobalion caught during the event will know the Sacred Sword attack.

    • If Trainers are lucky: Sneasel*, Glaceon wearing an Undersea Holiday outfit*
    • Complete certain tasks to earn Mega Energy for Abomasnow.
• Timed Research:
  • For US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), Trainers can purchase a ticket that grants access to event-exclusive Timed Research**, featuring incense and incubator bonuses, event-themed tasks, an avatar pose and more.
