Pokemon GO details two-day December 2022 Community Day

Niantic today announced details for Pokemon GO’s two-day December 2022 Community Day event. This will be happening between 2 PM to 5 PM local time on Saturday, December 17, 2022 to Sunday, December 18, 2022.

The following bonuses, events and rewards are planned:

• Event Bonuses – The following bonuses will be active Saturday, December 17, 2022, and Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time:
  • 2× XP, 2× Candy and 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon
  • 1/2 Hatch Distance 
  • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokémon.
  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • One additional Special Trade can be made, for a maximum of two per day.
  • Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust.
• Featured Pokémon – The following Pokémon will be featured on the below dates:
  • Dec. 17: Sandshrew*, Alolan Sandshrew*, Alolan Geodude*, Hoppip*, Spheal*, Stufful*, Bulbasaur*, Dratini*, Mudkip*
  • Dec. 18: Teddiursa*, Galarian Zigzagoon*, Starly*, Roggenrola*, Litwick*, Deino*, Bulbasaur*, Dratini*, Mudkip*
• Raids:
  • One-Star Raids: Machop*, Eevee*, Roselia*, Swablu*, Duskull*, Shinx*, Gible*, Snivy*, Tepig*, Oshawott*, Fletchling*
• Eggs: 
  • 2 km Eggs: Machop*, Eevee*, Swablu*, Duskull*, Shinx*, Budew*, Gible*, Snivy*, Tepig*, Oshawott*, Fletchling*
• Featured Attacks –For an overview of December Community Day’s featured attacks, visit the Pokémon GO blog.
• Community Day Special Research – For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), Trainers will be able to access the December Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, December Community Day 2022.
• Timed Research – Trainers can earn encounters with Pokémon featured in previous Community Days in 2021 and 2022.
• Trainers can receive 2022 Community Day stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.

*If Trainers are lucky, they might encounter a Shiny one.
