Pokemon GO introducing Adventure Sync feature

Niantic has announced a new Adventure Sync feature in the works for Pokemon GO. It will connect to both Apple Health on Apple devices and Google Fit on Android devices.
When Adventure Sync is enabled, your walking distances will be counted even when Pokemon GO isn’t launched. It works in the background to tally your distance, earn Candy, and hatch Eggs.
Adventure Sync can also provide a weekly summary that shows your Incubator and Candy progress as well as important activity statistics. Other features include checking in via your Trainer Profile to see the number of kilometers recorded for the week, earning weekly rewards for each milestone you cross, and receiving push notifications when your Buddy Pokemon has found a Candy or when an Egg is about to hatch.
Niantic hasn’t said exactly when Adventure Sync will be going live. However, it’s expected to launch “soon”.
