Pokemon GO Mega Moment event adds Mega Kangaskhan

Pokemon GO‘s new Mega Evolution is now live globally, and to celebrate, Niantic is hosting a special Mega Moment event with the introduction of Mega Kangaskhan. It will be held between Friday, April 29, 2022, at 10 AM local time to Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 8 PM local time.

Below are the full details on the Mega Moment event for Pokemon GO, including Mega Kangaskhan:

• Special Research – Trainers level 5 and up will get access to a new Special Research story with branching tasks so that they can try out Mega Evolution for either Venusaur, Charizard or Blastoise.
• Pokémon Debut – For the first time, Mega Kangaskhan will be appearing in Mega Raids.
• Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day – On Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time
• Mega Kangaskhan will appear more frequently in Mega Raids
• Trainers can receive up to five free Raid Passes during the event and up to two hours afterwards
• Trainers will have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Kangaskhan.
• Wild Encounters – Pokémon with Evolutions that can Mega Evolve will appear more frequently in the wild:
• Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Slowpoke, Gastly, Mareep, Buneary, Snover
• If Trainers are lucky, they may encounter a Shiny one of any of the above.
• Field Research – Trainers who complete event-themed Field Research tasks will receive a random reward of Mega Energy for any of the Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution currently available in Pokémon GO. Kangaskhan Mega Energy will only be available by completing Mega Raids against Mega Kangaskhan. 
• Bonus – Mega-Evolved Pokémon will receive a CP boost.
