Pokemon GO 2024 changes

Pokemon GO kicked off its “Rediscover GO” campaign today which is focused on changes and improvements planned for the mobile game. Over the next month, fans can rediscover the adventure “with fresh, stylish means to express themselves, enhanced visual effects, and a GO Snapshot upgrade.”

Here’s what else Niantic has said thus far:

Trainers will see updates to the user experience and visual art, including the in-game map, encounter screens, battle screens, and more – all tailored and changing based on location. From lush forests to bustling cities, tropical beaches to rugged mountains, Trainers will now be able to immerse themselves in the diverse landscapes within Pokémon GO, uncovering unexpected Pokémon on their journeys through the biomes.

Avatar options and the Style Shop will also present new customization options, so Trainers can express themselves in new, meaningful ways. Finally, Trainers who love to snap photos with GO Snapshot can now include up to three Pokémon in a single photo for the perfect group shot.

You can keep track of future updates for the campaign on the official website here. On April 17, we’ll get to find out what “Rediscover Yourself” means. Then on April 22, news will cover “Your World” and Kanto. Finally, on May 7, Niantic will explain what “Rediscover Your Reality” is about.

Pokemon GO is currently available on mobile via iOS and Android.
