Pokemon GO Mega Aggron and Togedemaru

Niantic has announced a new Test Your Mettle event for Pokemon GO, which will include the debuts of Mega Aggron and Togedemaru. Players will have the opportunity to overcome challenges with their Steel-type Pokemon and encounter the Ultra Beasts Celesteela and Kartana, which have emerged from Ultra Wormholes (Celesteela in the Southern Hemisphere, and Kartana in the Northern Hemisphere).

Here’s the full rundown on the Test Your Mettle event for Pokemon GO with Mega Aggron and Togedemaru:

  • Event Bonus – Increased Candy and chance to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws.
  • Pokémon Debuts 
    • Mega Aggron* will make its debut in Mega Raids from Friday, September 16, 2022, to Tuesday, September 27, 2022
    • Togedemaru, the Roly-Poly Pokémon
  • Encounters – Trainers can encounter the following through: 
    • Wild Encounters 
      • Magnemite, Pineco, Nosepass, Aron, Beldum, Bronzor, Drilbur, Ferroseed, Togedemaru
      • If Trainers are lucky: Prinplup, Stunfisk
    • Raids
      • One-Star Raids: Scyther, Beldum, Shieldon, Klink, Togedemaru
      • Three-Star Raids: Magneton, Skarmory, Mawile, Lairon
      • Five-Star Raids: Celesteela**, Kartana**
      • Mega Raids: Mega Aggron* 
    • 7 km Eggs
      • Alolan Sandshrew, Alolan Diglett, Galarian Meowth, Riolu, Galarian Stunfisk
    • Field Research
      • Magnemite, Pineco, Nosepass, Drilbur, Ferroseed, Togedemaru
      • Steelix Mega Energy, Scizor Mega Energy
  • Timed Research – Complete tasks to earn Aggron Mega Energy and encounters with Togedemaru and Aron. 
*If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
** Celesteela will be appearing in Five-Star Raids in the Southern Hemisphere. Kartana will be appearing in Five-Star Raids in the Northern Hemisphere.
The Test Your Mettle event for Pokemon GO will be held between Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10 AM to Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 8 PM local time.
