Pokemon GO to add Cosmoem in Evolving Stars event
Niantic today announced a new Evolving Stars event for Pokemon GO, which marks the debut of Cosmoem. The event will be held between Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 10 AM to Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 8 PM local time.
It will include the following:
- Pokémon Debuts – Cosmoem, the Protostar Pokémon, will be available in Pokémon GO for the first time.
- Special Research – Unlock a new part of the Season-long Special Research for another step in the adventure with Cosmog.
- Encounters – Trainers will be able to encounter the following Pokémon through:
- Wild:
- Kakuna, Pidgeotto, Poliwhirl, Kadabra, Haunter, Rhyhorn, Seadra, Scyther, Eevee, Swinub, Ralts, Duskull, Tynamo, Litwick, Helioptile
- Raids:
- One-Star: Slowpoke, Onix, Scyther, Porygon, Sunkern
- Three-Star: Magneton, Rhydon, Togetic, Piloswine
- Five-Star: Xerneas (Oct. 8-20), Yveltal (Sept. 27-Oct. 8)
- Mega: Mega Manectric (Oct 8-20), Mega Lopunny (Sept. 27-Oct. 8)
Other than the Evolving Stars event with Cosmoem, Pokemon GO is also having a Mega Gyarados Raid Day. Here’s what to expect from that:
- Mega Gyarados Raid Day – Taking place on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Trainers can enjoy:
- Event Bonuses:
- Mega Gyarados will appear more frequently in raids.
- Receive up to five additional Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms.
- An increased chance of encountering Shiny Gyarados.
- Field Research – Complete tasks to earn Stardust, Evolution items, and Mega Energy.
- Collection Challenges – Complete the challenges to receive Evolution items.
Pokemon GO is currently available on mobile via iOS and Android.
