Pokemon Legends: Z-A will support Pokemon Home, but with significant limitations
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is confirmed for Pokemon Home support, though fans are disappointing to hear that there are significatant limitations.
There are a couple of important points to consider. First, any Pokemon you catch in Z-A can’t be brought to previous Pokemon titles (but it looks this may not apply to future games). Also, if you want to bring a Pokemon you’ve caught in an older game to Z-A, it will have to stay there forever – you can’t bring it back.
Meanwhile, Pokemon Home functionality for Pokemon Legends: Z-A won’t be available immediately. The game launches in October, but support for Home isn’t planned until 2026. A specific date will be provided later.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A was a prominent part of today’s Nintendo Direct with the reveal of several new Mega Evolutions plus DLC. Read about that here. You can also find the announcement for the just-announced Pokemon Pokopia here.
