Pokemon Legends Z-A Zygarde location guide

We’ve sharing another Pokemon Legends: Z-A location guide, this time for Zygarde.

It’s been over a week since the release of the game, and we assume some of you might be wondering how to catch Zygarde, the game’s titular Legendary Pokemon. As you might expect, Zygarde is the final Legendary Pokemon available in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, and you’ll need to clear the main story in order to access it. It’s a guaranteed capture, though, which means you can use any Poke Ball you want with no chance of failure. It also means you definitely shouldn’t use a Master Ball.

In order to catch Zygarde, you’ll have to clear the main story and catch Xerneas and Yveltal. Your next move from here isn’t particularly clear, but you’ll need to head back to Hotel Z. Once there, L will ask for a battle. Defeat him, and Zygarde will ask you to head to Prism Tower.

Get ready for a tough fight – this is a three-phase Zygarde battle. For the first two phases, it’ll be in its 10% and 50% forms, respectively. And fortunately, these are fairly easy, especially if you have Ice-type moves. They’ll deal even more damage if the Pokemon you’re using is also Ice-type, and even more damage if it’s Mega Evolved. That makes Pokemon like Mega Glalie and Mega Abomasnow good choices here, as long as they’re of a high level – Zygarde itself is Level 84.

After you defeat Zygarde’s first two forms, it’ll enter its Complete form, which is no doubt the most difficult one. Most of its attacks are fairly simple to avoid, but look out for when Zygarde flies away and starts charging. It’s about to use Core Enforcer, which paints most of the battlefield with a high-damage laser. You’ll have to stick to the very left or right side of the battlefield, and we’d recommend recalling your Pokemon back to its ball temporarily so it doesn’t get hit. Zygarde takes a ton of hits in its Complete form, so you will have to whittle down its health. Once you do, it will deem you worthy and allow itself to be caught by any Poke Ball you choose. There’s no chance of failure here, so use a Dusk Ball if you want to perfectly match its colors.
