Pokemon retail sales reached $10.8 billion in 2023
Each year License Global gives us a look at the top global licensors, and once again, The Pokemon Company is included in the list.
Pokemon ranked seventh overall after bringing in $10.8 billion in revenue at retail in 2023. While that total decreased by $800 million compared to the previous year, one important aspect to consider is the lack of a brand new entry in the series when it comes to gaming. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet provided a notable boost in 2022. Pokemon may not have been as big as the likes of Hasbro, but earnings were higher than Mattel
There’s also one other interesting tidbit that may blow your mind in a way, at least when it comes to how much money we’re talking. The Pokemon Company has seen an overall total of $91.6 billion in retail and merchandise sales.
