Pokemon Sword and Shield hosting Max Raid Battle event with Shiny Delibird and more

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are hosting a new Max Raid Battle event featuring Delibird and more.
On the topic of Delibird, the creature will be appearing more often. And if you’re lucky enough, you may encounter a Shiny Delibird. Starmie and Cryogonal are also showing up more regularly in Max Raid Battles while the event is live.
Those that want to get involved in the new Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield Max Raid Battle event for Delibird will first need to connect their Switch systems online. Once that’s done, when a pillar of light appears from a Pokemon Den in the Wild Area, walk up to it and interact to have a Max Raid Battle begin.
You’ll only have until December 26 at 3:59 PM PT / 6:59 PM ET to participate – after that, we should be getting a new type of Max Raid Battle activity. Note that the event does not affect the Pokemon encountered within Dynamax Adventures.
Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, which first launched in 2019, are available on Switch. We have information about the last Max Raid Battle event that featured Eevee here.
