Pokemon Sword and Shield hosting Max Raid Battle with Glastrier and Spectrier

In what could be the last major Max Raid Battle event for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, Glastrier and Spectrier are being featured. Players can team up with other Trainers to defeat the Legendary Pokemon in battle.

Unfortunately, you won’t actually be able to catch these creatures. They’re only intended to provide a challenge in battle.

Those interested in participating in the new Max Raid Battle event featuring Glastrier and Spectrier in Pokemon Sword and Shield will first need to connect their Switch system to the internet. Then when a pillar of light begins to appear from a Pokemon Den in the Wild Area, walk up to it and interact to have a Max Raid Battle begin. The Pokemon encountered within Dynamax Adventures are not affected here.

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield will be hosting the current Max Raid Battle until October 23, 2022 at 4:59 PM PT / 7:59 PM ET. With Violet and Scarlet on the horizon, these events are expected to draw to a close.

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are available on Switch having originally launched in 2019. You can find details about the previous Max Raid Battle event are located here.
