Rachael Lillis, who was most well known for her work on the Pokemon anime series having voiced Misty and Jessie, has sadly passed away.

Lillis died on August 10 following a battle with breast cancer. She was 46.

Lillis played Misty and Jessie in the anime as well as movies that were released over the years, but that wasn’t all. She also provided the voice of various Pokemon. But even that’s not telling her whole career, as Lillis provided her voice in a bunch of other anime and more. You can check out all of her different roles here.

The news regarding Lillis’ passing was shared by Veronica Taylor, the original voice of Ash, on social media. Taylor noted that her family “wishes to thank you as they take time to grieve privately” and a memorial will be taking place at a future date.

We’re certainly sad to report on this news, and wish the best for Lillis’ family and all others impacted by her passing.
