Rumor: Monster Hunter Wilds update gives hope for a Nintendo Switch 2 version
Capcom hasn’t made any announcements about Monster Hunter Wilds for Nintendo Switch 2, but it could be a future possibility following a new discovery.
Fans have combed through the game’s latest update and found something interesting. In one line of the code, there’s a new addition with the following: “via.store.Native.ns2UpgradeEdition”. Aside from Nintendo Switch 2, not much else would make sense here.
Capcom hasn’t had too much to say about Monster Hunter Wilds potentially heading to Nintendo Switch 2. Earlier this year though, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto noted that the team “would need to take time over the coming future to learn exactly the nature of the hardware and how we’ll be using it best and that’s something that’s going to be in the future for us.”
If there’s one thing we can say for sure about Capcom, the publisher is very much on board for Nintendo Switch 2. After bringing out Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, the company is also releasing Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Stories 3, and Pragmata. Even better, Nintendo Switch 2 is getting these latter three titles at the same time as other platforms.
