Rumor: Nintendo Direct happening in February, possibly first week of the month
The first big Nintendo Direct is rumored to be taking place during the first week of February. That claim comes from NateTheHate, who shared what he’s heard during a podcast episode today.
The new Nintendo Direct presentation could air during the first week of February. While February 4 / 5 is expected (depending on your time zone), he has not been able to confirm that with his best contacts currently, so keep in mind that date is not fully locked in.
Right now it’s also unclear what type of Direct we’ll be getting. A general Nintendo Direct is possible, but we could also see a Partner Showcase.
Nintendo typically holds Directs in Q1 to show off upcoming games. A few titles are already locked in – Mario Tennis Fever is due out on February 12, followed by Pokemon Pokopia on March 5 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park on March 26. Tomodachi Life should also be getting a release date very soon as a Direct for that game was just announced.
NateTheHate has been accurate with some Nintendo leaks in the past. His claims regarding Nintendo Direct dates have generally been accurate. Additionally, he was spot on with the date was for the initial Nintendo Switch 2 reveal.
Is there anything you’d hope to see in an upcoming Nintendo Direct? Let us know in the comments.
