Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma sales surpass 500,000, special artwork shared
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has managed to surpass 500,000 units worldwide. This was announced via the official Rune Factory X account.
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma was originally announced for Nintendo Switch and Steam, but also received a Switch 2 version. Both versions launched alongside the Nintendo Switch 2, on June 5, 2025.
We haven’t received a specific numbers breakdown, but Japan’s Famitsu retail charts may give us a decent estimation between each console. The most recent sales reported to Famitsu were on the week of June 21, with sales totaling 97,693 units across both platforms. 75,524 units for Nintendo Switch, and 22,169 units on Switch 2. Again these numbers are from retail sales in Japan only, don’t include Steam sales, and are likely to be much higher by now.
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is out now on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. If you’re interested in the game, you can always check out our review on it here.
