Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package

A few days ago, Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package landed on Switch. Digital Foundry has now taken a closer look at the game from a technical perspective. Note that the analysis was done prior to the first update dropping this week.

Unlike the last-gen versions of Saints Row: The Third, the game runs at 1080p when docked, which is an improvement. Of course, the resolution is reduced to native 720p in portable mode. Unfortunately, the use of quarter-resolution buffers can be harmful to the overall image.

Digital Foundry points out issues with input latency. This means some players may find it difficult to line up shots or drive properly.

Saints Row: The Third has major frame rate dips throughout, where the action can slow down significantly. The game also makes use of an undocked frame rate. One bright spot is that the frame rate holds up a bit better in handheld mode.
