Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Daily Demon vol. 42 – Cironnup

With the release of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance drawing ever closer, another Daily Demon video has been released by Atlus to showcase one of the demons that will be in the game. Volume 42 of the series focuses on Cironnup.

A Holy race demon, Cironnup made its debut in Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse. As well as having two unique skills, it can also be found at numerous points in the map and will accept Macca payments to reveal the location of undiscovered Miman, making it quite a useful demon. In Shin Megami Tensei V it has the following lore:

“”Fox” in the Ainu tongue. Though “Sumari” is another word for “fox,” chironnupu refers to “those who we kill” — which is to say, the various small-to-medium-sized Canidae.
It is also a divine beast that alerts people to forthcoming disasters by howling loudly from the mountains.”
