Skater XL Switch release date set for December, trailer
The Switch version of Skater XL has finally received a release date. Today, Easy Day Studios announced that the port is slated for December 5, 2023.
It’s been a wild ride for Skater XL, as the game was first announced in 2019. It was delayed in 2020, and while it was only pushed back a few weeks on other platforms, we’re just now getting the Switch version.
Although it’s been a long wait, it sounds like Easy Day Studios has been putting in quite a bit of works for the Switch version. Described as a “faithfull and full-featured release”, it will run at “a solid 60 FPS in both handheld and docked mode” while “maintaining the fluid physics-based gameplay that more than 1 million gamers have enjoyed to date.” It’ll also come with online multiplayer freeskate sessions, a built-in replay editor, and mods.
