Splatoon 3 Drizzle Season announced, Deep Cut amiibo revealed, new Splatfest
Original (8/17): Splatoon 3 has unveiled the Drizzle Season as its next major event, and new amiibo for Deep Cut have been revealed.
Drizzle Season will introduce new content as usual. Players can expect Crableg Capital and Shipstage Cargo Co. as new stages. For Salmon Run, Salmonid Smokeyard is making a return and there’ll be new Slopsuits. That’s along with the Dread Wringer and Heavy Edit Splatling weapons, new Tableturf battle cards, and new challenges: Inkjets for Everyone, Swim It to Win It, and Modded Rainmaker Test-Fire.
The Splatoon 3 Drizzle Season starts on September 1. Find a trailer for the event below.

That’s not the only Splatoon 3 news, as new amiibo for Deep Cut are coming as mentioned above. Shiver, Frye and Big Man are all getting figures on November 17, 2023. They will function in a similar manner to other Splatoon amiibo, giving you powerful in-game gear that can boost your battle abilities.
Finally, a special Splatfest is planned to celebrate the game’s first anniversary. Players are being asked which character would be the best leader – Shiver, Frye or Big Man. The event will take place during the weekend of September 8.
Update (8/18): Nintendo has started to show off the specifics on Twitter. These include the Dread Wringer, Salmonid Smokeyard, wider selection of items available at the Grizzco rewards counter, Big Run event, and Adjust Gear option.
While Ballistics works on another dad joke (we can HEAR them), Real Estate is here to tell you that Salmonid Smokeyard is back! With its high ground and propellervator transport system, you have to watch out for Salmonids on the far side and always deposit Golden Eggs promptly! pic.twitter.com/SQgNpBinzl

Last SRL post today, and it's Fashion Desk with a hot style tip. You can now use the Adjust Gear option when trying on select headgear and clothing items! That goes for items you're trying on in the shops too. Give it a try—you might find a new twist on an old fave! pic.twitter.com/U33kdpxmsz

SRL Fashion Desk here! We've got our hands on the Drizzle Season 2023 catalog, and it’s the DRIZZLIEST. Packed full of new gear, emotes, and decorations, we're going to be obsessing for a minute. And if you missed some gear from last year? Now's your chance to finally pick it up! pic.twitter.com/RABGxFCgzc

Update (8/22): For today’s update, Nintendo is showing off the Octobrush Nouveau, Custom Goo Tuber, and Zip-to-It Zipcaster Challenge. Also, you can pre-order the new amiibo on GameStop here.
SRL Ballistics here with another Drizzle Season drop—the Octobrush Nouveau! It offers a wider ink path and heavier splat than the Inkbrush at the expense of ink consumption and mobility. But paired with the Squid Beakon sub and Ink Storm special, we think it's a work of art! pic.twitter.com/TwY9sAMYWg
— Splatoon North America (@SplatoonNA) August 22, 2023
SRL Challenge Team here with an update! The Zip-to-It Zipcaster Challenge will run from 7 to 9 PM PT on 8/28, 3 to 5 AM PT on 8/29, and again from 11 AM PT to 1 PM PT the same day. This is a fast-paced, Zipcaster-special-ONLY Challenge that will be contested in Splat Zones mode! pic.twitter.com/oVeVUFjXKy

Update (8/23): Today’s update includes the Sorella Brella, Bloblobber Deco, and Ballpoint Splatling Nouveau. We have the roundup below.
SRL Ballistics here with a barrage of weapon updates! First, the Sorella Brella. It's a fraternal twin to the Splat Brella—similar DNA, different look. Paired with Autobombs and the Inkjet, this brella supports a strategy of controlling enemy movements to maximize Inkjet impact! pic.twitter.com/kqcBoy6538

Last one today—the Ballpoint Splatling Nouveau! Sensing a theme? It's a regular Ballpoint Splatling with a new design. And now that it has both Ink Mines and the Ink Vac special, it's more versatile than ever. Like fighting in close quarters? Splatting from afar? It's got you. pic.twitter.com/KVptjJ0XkF

Update (8/24): Today’s update includes the Sloshing Machine Neo, Tri-Stringer, and Gold Dynamo Roller. We have the roundup below.
SRL Ballistics here with more pre-weekend weapon research. Here's the Sloshing Machine Neo, a Sloshing Machine that's been upgraded with a sticker. The sticker has no practical effect. However, the set comes with Point Sensors and the popular Trizooka special! pic.twitter.com/Fel3eGxBRt

We saved the best for last. Behold the Gold Dynamo Roller! You'll see the fear in your enemy's face reflected in the shiny gold finish of this weapon. And with Splat Bombs and the Super Chump, it doesn't just talk the talk—it walks the walk! Or swims the swim…in swim form. pic.twitter.com/FGq6Nnviua

Update (8/25): New song Big Betrayal from Deep Cut has been shared – you can listen to it below.

SRL Social Team here. Want to be notified when a friend uploads a battle replay? Of course you do! How else can you celebrate and/or taunt them? You'll now receive a notification that allows you to download replays so you can immediately share in the glory (or LOL—up to you). pic.twitter.com/Eyt2TiEZDm
— Splatoon North America (@SplatoonNA) August 28, 2023
One last finding today—you can now go on recon directly from the Stages menu! That includes Regular Battle and Anarchy Battle stages. And THAT includes not just current stages but upcoming stages! If you want to take your game to the next level, this gives you a tentacle up! pic.twitter.com/gwxU7ofSnB
— Splatoon North America (@SplatoonNA) August 28, 2023
Update (8/29): Today’s update covers Crableg Capital plus new banners and new titles.
And we're being told by the Social Team that more than 80 new banners and over 400 new titles will be added for Drizzle Season! As always, you can get them from the catalog or from random pulls on the Shell-Out Machine. Never been a better time to freshen up that Splashtag! pic.twitter.com/zAsEflDxVg
