Splatoon 3 user icons added to Nintendo Switch Online

Original (9/8): Starting today, Nintendo Switch Online icons can claim new icons based on Splatoon 3. The first batch was just made available and comes just in time for the main game’s launch.
Nintendo is planning several waves of Splatoon 3 icons that will be cycled out on a weekly basis. Expect new batches until October 6. Fans can obtain icons for characters, backgrounds, and frames. Characters cost 10 My Nintendo Platinum Points each while everything else is 5 Platinum Points.
This wasn’t the only new addition to Nintendo Switch Online this week. A few days ago, icons were made available for the NES. We have more information about that here.
Splatoon 3 launches for Switch worldwide tomorrow, September 9. If you plan on picking up any of the new icons, let us know in the comments.
