Suika Game gets worldwide release on Switch
Original (10/20): Suika Game, which has made waves in Japan on the Switch eShop this year, is now available on Switch worldwide – just without English support.
At first glance, this seems like something that’d easily pass by without much attention. And actually, that’s what happened with Suika Game when it first came to Switch at the end of 2021 in Japan. But after streamers and influences started spreading the word this year, it became a hit. As we previously reported, Suika Game was the best-selling game on the Japanese eShop in September.
Those in North America and Europe can now more easily play the game with today’s international eShop launch. However, there is one caveat: it’s only playable in Japanese. This appears to be one of the rare eShop games in the west without an English translation.
The good news is that English isn’t fully required to play the game. Suika Game is a mostly straightforward puzzler without a ton of text as it’s mostly about combining fruits.
Here’s the brief eShop description:
To prevent the fruits from overflowing from the box, collide the same kind of fruit. As you collide fruits, their types change. Let’s create big watermelons! This is a game where you combine two small fruits to make them larger and create big watermelons.

Suika Game is now available digitally on Switch as an eShop download for $2.99.
Update (10/23): A new update has been made available that includes English support and a Halloween theme. Additionally, it’s been announced that sales have surpassed two million copies.
