Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 1.3.1 update out now, patch notes

For those who own Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 on Nintendo Switch, a new version 1.3.1 update can now be accessed.

This appears to be a pretty small patch in nature. According to Nintendo, the game’s software information has been updated. That is apparently all there is.

In any case, here’s the official notice:

• Software information has been updated. No in-game content has been changed.

While there isn’t much here, the patch notes are interesting. We can’t really recall a time when Nintendo has updated “software information”, and it’s not entirely clear what that means.
