Super Mario Run starts new Donkey Kong Bananza event

Donkey Kong Bananza is out on Nintendo Switch 2 today, and to celebrate, a brand new event has started up in Super Mario Run.

New rewards are available that can be earned by completing different missions. You’ll clear your first once by simply booting up the mobile game and visiting your kingdom. Other missions involve collecting coins, defeating a certain amount of enemies, and more. Players can fill out three mission sheets in total, which provide different statues.

Super Mario Run has seen some new life over the past couple of years thanks to these collaborative events. We’ve seen ones for the launches of Super Mario Party Jamboree (details here), Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD (details here), Super Mario Bros. Wonder (details here), Princess Peach: Showtime (details here), Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (details here), and Mario & Luigi: Brothership (details here).

The Super Mario Run x Donkey Kong Bananza event will be active until August 28, 2025.
