First Press Games

We heard awhile back that First Press Games was planning a physical release for Mulaka. The company followed up with actual information this week, and also opened pre-orders.

What might be the most interesting aspect of the physical release is that it’s including some exclusives. These include performance improvements, revamped level design, and more.

Here’s the full rundown:

Agatha Knife MechaNika, two titles from Mango Protocol, were previously distributed on Switch as digital downloads. The two will now be bundled together as a physical release known as “Psychotic Adventures Origins”.

Psychotic Adventures Origins will go on sale in early 2020, with a release tentatively slated for March. First Press Games will handle publishing exclusively.

A physical version of Mulaka is on the way courtesy of First Press Games. Though a specific release date hasn’t been shared, it’s due out in early 2020.

Mulaka, an action-adventure game, first launched on the Switch eShop back in March 2018. It’s based on the indigenous culture of the Tarahumara and has players “solving puzzles in environments inspired by real Sierra Tarahumara locations” as well as performing “heated hand-to-hand combat with creatures pulled from the region’s mythology”.

A Hole New World, Shadow Bug, Castle of Hearts will be receiving physical editions from First Press Games, the company has announced.

Pre-orders for A Hole New World open in July, with a release in August. Shadow Bug is up next for reservations in August and a launch in September. Finally, Castle of Heart goes up in September and is due out in October.

All physical releases will be getting a regular edition and collector’s edition. They’ll be split between 3,000 copies and 1,000 copies respectively.
