Iron Meat update Arcade, Boss Rush, and Mutation modes

Iron Meat has announced a new update, which is highlighted by Arcade, Boss Rush, and Mutation modes. Nintendo Switch should be getting the patch soon.

Arcade, Boss Rush, and Mutation change up how players can experience the meat-and-metal run-and-gun shooter. That’s not the only new content though, as two new weapons and the new wall-crawing zombies have been added as well.

Here’s the full rundown of the update:

Iron Meat update Mirror Mode

Retroware recently started distribution of a major update for Iron Meat. Players are now able to access a new wave of content.

One of the primary additions is Mirror Mode, which lets players experience every level with the x-axis flipped – meaning they’ll be running to the left. There’s also the Supercharge rapid fire power-up after obtaining a third copy of a weapon upgrade, visual changes to the background on certain levels, and more.

Strictly Limited Games also revealed that it’s teaming up with Retroware on a physical release of Iron Meat for Switch. The boxed versions are also slated for September 25, 2024.

Strictly Limited Games will be sharing all of the details later. However, the company says it will produce the only physical versions of the game worldwide.

Iron Meat

Retroware intends to bring Iron Meat to Switch, the company announced today. The game will arrive on the console later in 2024.

Retroware is a run-and-gun shooter set in an apocalyptic future overrun by “The Meat,” an iron-ravenous mass mutating everything in its path. The game has retro-inspired stages to go through, bosses to battle with, support for couch co-op, and more.
