The Samurai Collection

Original (10/29): QUByte Interactive has another retro package planned for Switch, as an eShop listing has The Samurai Collection. This is due out on November 3, 2022.

The Samurai Collection appears to include First Samurai and Second Samurai, a pair of beat ’em up platformers. First Samurai originally came out in 1991 for the Amiga and Atari ST, though it later ended up on other systems like the SNES. Second Samurai followed in 1993 for the Amiga and later the SEGA Mega Drive.

Breakers Collection release date

Breakers Collection has been given a final release date on Switch. It will be available on January 12, 2023, QUByte Interactive announced today.

Breakers Collection contains Breakers and Breakers Revenge plus new content for the cult classic fighting game, which was released in 1996 for Neo Geo and Arcades. More features and modes are planned such as online versus, an art gallery, and a training more.

Glover

QUByte Interactive revelated today that it will be publishing Glover on Switch. A release window as not provided.

If Glover sounds familiar, that’s because the 3D platformer originally released for the N64. You can read more about it below.

Tinhead

Original (10/8): QUByte Interactive has been bringing back a number of niche classics on Switch as of late, and the pattern continues with Tinhead. A listing for the game has appeared on the eShop. According to the store page, it will be available next week.

Tinhead was originally made by MicroProse UK in 1993. The action adventure platformer, which involves a mission to save the stars from Grim Squidge, originally debuted on the SEGA Genesis.

Host 714

QUByte Interactive is bringing the Tengukaze Studio-made stealth title Host 714 to Switch, the company has announced. It’s due out on September 29, 2022.

The game has players taking on the role of Squid, “a drug addicted hobo who was invited by a governmental organization, the Orange Institute, to join a drug addiction rehab center with experimental treatment and social reintegration.” However, not is all as it seems and he becomes a test subject.

Josh Journey Darkness Totems

The hand-drawn beat ’em up game Josh Journey: Darkness Totems is planned for Switch, according to publisher QUByte Interactive and developer Provincia Studio. Nintendo’s console will be getting the title on October 6, 2022.

Radical Rex

Radical Rex, which first came out in 1994, is returning on Switch. QUByte Interactive has announced that it will release the game on September 8, 2022.

Radical Rex has a bit of an interesting history as it’s actually a remake of Baby T-Rex, which debuted on the Game Boy in 1993. The title landed on the SNES as well as the SEGA Genesis. In 2019, it was brought back for PC, and it looks like this is what the Switch edition is based on. QUByte Interactive and Piko Interactive are partnering together here.

QUByte Classics: Thunderbolt Collection gameplay

Gameplay has come in for QUByte Classics: Thunderbolt Collection following its debut on Switch this week. The package contains two vertically-scrolling shoot ’em up titles – specifically the 8-bit and 16-bit versions of the game.

QUByte Classics: Thunderbolt Collection

QUByte Classics: Thunderbolt Collection has been announced for Switch and will be available in just a couple of weeks. Everyone will be able to pick it up as of August 4, 2022.

This new collection includes two vertically-scrolling shoot ’em up titles. QUByte’s port includes the 8-bit and 16-bit versions of the game, both with official English localization and new features such as control remapping, different screen types, and save states.

QUByte Classics: Zero Tolerance Collection trailer

QUByte Classics: Zero Tolerance Collection saw its initial debut on Switch this week, and a new launch trailer has gone live. As a reminder, the package includes Zero Tolerance, Zero Tolerance Underground and an unreleased demo called Zero Tolerance Beyond.
