The Super Mario Galaxy Movie reveals first trailer, Brie Larson playing Rosalina and Benny Safdie playing Bowser Jr.

Just a few moments ago, Nintendo and Illumination released the debut trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. It was shared as part of a special Nintendo Direct for the film.

While a trailer technically went online in September, it was more of a teaser that didn’t really show much at all. Today’s video gives us a better idea about the plot.

Two new characters are also now confirmed. First, Nintendo superfan Brie Larson is playing Rosalina. Benny Safdie is taking on the role of Bowser Jr. Additional characters and voice cast will be announced at a later date. Chris Pratt (Mario), Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (Toad), and Kevin Michael Richardson (Kamek) will be returning.
