Thronefall update adds True Endless and Reverse Siege modes, more
Thronefall just received a major update which adds a slew of new content, including True Endless mode and Reverse Siege mode. Twelve new mini-modes can be accessed now.
True Endless mode can be found in the additional Mini-Modes for Totend (not the same as the Eternal Trials mode). This involves playing and staying on one map (Totend) until your Castle Center is destroyed. Enemy waves are different every time you play, and there are new tier 4 Castle Center upgrades plus additional upgrades for some other buildings.
Reverse Siege mode is Thronefall, but you’re the attacker. Here players need to destroy their opponent’s economic buildings to gain gold, then use the gold to upgrade your troops. By taking out the enemy’s Castle Center, they’ll win the ground and gain a massive amount of gold. Health cannot be regenerated, so if you run out of health, the night is immediately over.
Outside of True Endless and Reverse Siege modes, Thronefall has received multiple quality of life additions. These include a game-speed hotkey, increased localization (Korean, Italian, Ukrainian, and Czech), color-blindness settings, and bug fixes.
Designer Jonas Tyroller said today: “When we set out to make Thronefall, we never would’ve thought we’d sell over a million copies. We’re really thankful for that incredible milestone, so we wanted to give back to our passionate community. Working on this game continues to be a treat, so we hope everyone enjoys the hard work we’ve been putting into making this an even better experience.”
Thronefall is out now on Nintendo Switch. Read more about the game here.
