Posted on May 7, 2025 by in News, Switch

GungHo and Falcom have announced that Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter has locked in a release date of September 19, 2025.  Alongside the release date, more of the Japanese voice cast was detailed in this week’s Famitsu magazine.

The turn-based RPG was originally announced in a 2024 as The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st, and is a remake of 2004’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. This will mark the game’s first appearance on a Nintendo console and will include fully voice-acted cutscenes in English and Japanese, various changes to the gameplay, and a fully 3D art style.

Aside from a standard physical edition with a worldwide release, this week’s Famitsu also mentioned a “Bracer Box” for Japan. It is not confirmed whether or not this is the same collectors edition Limited Run Games had previously confirmed, or even if this edition will also be a worldwide release. This post will be updated when more information is available.

As for the Japanese voice actors, the additions to the cast are as follows:

  • Cassius Bright (voiced by Kenji Hamada)
  • Professor Alba (voiced by Nobuo Tobita)
  • Aina Holden (voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro)
  • Josette Capua (voiced by Anna Nagase)
  • Nial Burns (voiced by Satoshi Tsuruoka)
  • Dorothy Hyatt (voiced by Hikaru Tono)
