Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics can be played with Nintendo Labo VR kit
If you kept your Nintendo Labo VR kit from a few years back, you might be interested to know that it’s compatible with the upcoming Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics service.
In a couple of weeks, those with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership will be able to access Virtual Boy titles on Switch 2 and Switch. We previously knew that a dedicated accessory will be released along with a cheaper cardboard model. However, it now turns out that there’s a third option with the Nintendo Labo VR kit.
GamesBeat received confirmation about this from Nintendo Treehouse staff member Corey Olcsvary. The outlet attended a preview event at the end of last month where Olcsvary was in attendance.
The Nintendo Labo VR kit option isn’t really being advertised as there are no plans to bring it back. But if you do still happen to have it lying around, you won’t need to fork out cash for extra equipment.
Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics releases on February 17, 2026. You can find out the full launch lineup here.
