Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom devs on which Link is the stinkiest
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom director Hidemaro Fujibayashi and series producer Eiji Aonuma have shared their thoughts on which Link they believe is the stinkiest.
If you’re wondering why on earth anyone would bother to ask the developers that question, this has become a thing of sorts of TicTok. Wired decided to get to the bottom of things by asking Fujibayashi and Aonuma for their thoughts directly.
For Aonuma, he believes that Link from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would stink the most with his barbarian-style outfit, a bone cap, and furs. He said: “That might be kind of smelly”. Aonuma also pointed to its “wild animal odor aroma.”
Meanwhile, Fujibayashi feels that Link from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess would stink the most. Why? Link transforms into a wolf in that title, so he spends a lot of time digging through dirt. Some of the dungeons also involve Link switching to his wolf form.
Additionally, Fujibayashi said: “There are some scenes in Twilight Princess where Link engages in sumo wrestling with the Goran tribe. I imagine he’s pretty smelly in that situation.”
To close things out, Aonuma mentioned: “Actually, Ganon might be the smelliest, if I’m thinking about it.”
