Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was Europe’s best-selling game of May, Switch was best-selling hardware
New data from Europe has revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was the best-selling game of May. Nintendo’s exclusive sold 2.5x the second placed title, Hogwarts Legacy.
Tears of the Kingdom is the third best-selling game of the year across Europe after just three weeks, with FIFA 23 and Hogwarts Legacy only doing more – for now. If we’re strictly looking at physical since Nintendo doesn’t report digital sales, Zelda is indeed already the top game in Europe.
There’s other good news for Nintendo as well since Switch surpassed PS5 in May to become the best-selling console in Europe. Switch sales rose 39 percent year-over-year.
We have a couple of other tidbits concerning accessories. The Switch Pro Controller was the second best-selling accessory in Europe during May, and it saw a 530 percent boost. Also, the new Tears of the Kingdom amiibo was the fifth best-selling accessory of the month. The OLED case came in at #10.
