I guess y’all were right about a new direct coming up, but I feel the need to point out this is neither Pokémon nor animal crossing.

      Just wait

    • KnightWonder

The new Pokemon game feels more like an E3 announcement than a Direct announcement.

      • Dunnington

I don’t think they’ve ever announced a Pokemon game at E3. They normally announce previously, then show gameplay at E3.

        • KnightWonder

For handhelds. But if it’s for the Switch, it would make all the more sense to save it.

A few years back, Nintendo had a mini 3DS direct a few weeks before E3 and then a Smash Brothers DLC direct the weekend before E3. I won’t be shocked if a similar occurance happens with Pokemon and/or Animal Crossing at this point. Heck; they might do a Nintindies Direct, it’s almost the perfect time for it.

      • Yolkghost

Nintendies direct seems possible. A lot of them still have tentative summer dates. ( And pocket rumble just died out )

      • Pokemon won’t happen.
Why? The anime and movie aren’t advertising anything related to an upcoming Pokemon game that coming this year. Mainline or remake or third version.

Were either getting a HD Battling Sim or Mystery Dungeon
those two are always the first Pokemon games release.

I just need a 2 min trailer for Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal for 3DS VC (or even better, Switch) and I’ll be happy.

  • Bruno_Ostara

I just love how weird nintendo is. E3 is on the way, Arms will have a big part on it, and they announce a direct before it hahaha We never know what to expect

    • ToonAddict1

With ARMS coming out the day after the final day of E3 (and Nintendo having a lot of news to announce at the show), it is a wise move by Nintendo to have a ARMS-focused Direct so that way most of the game’s details can be explained before E3 (while still saving a final piece of news about the game for the show).

      • Bruno_Ostara

Yeah, I know! It is quite a wise move to do this. This way they free up space for more news on E3. But it’s kinda funny anyway

  • Exposer

So Arms is getting is direct and also a Splatoon 2 trailer after the event…Is like a UCM movie.

  • GoldenTriforce

    Called it a month ago!

    • Velen (Not WoW)

      PROOF. Show it.

      • GoldenTriforce

I was more bragging to myself than anyone else lol

  • Stuart

    Awesome!

Too bad for the ones expecting a Pokemon Direct…but I don’t care hahaha can’t get enough of ARMS!

    • FireThunder25

Yeah, that’s what I don’t understand. Shouldn’t it make sense to announce new games at E3 rather than the month before that? Plus, we haven’t learned that much about ARMS and Splatoon 2, and those games are to be released in June and July, respectively. Might as well give a lot of info about those games, especially the former, before they’re released so that their E3 presentation would be about the other new and upcoming games.

  • They better reveal those two other characters. If they only reveal one that is fine also though. It just means the hype train will stop at two stations instead of one.

    • Coonfoot

Maybe they’ll reveal one in the Direct and the other at E3.

      • The game comes out right after E3 though. You would think every character would be announced at least 1 week before the game comes out.

        • Coonfoot

          Oh, sorry, I didn’t know.

    • DeltaPeng

I wouldn’t mind leaving some characters a secret, and having them be unlocked through the game.

Though I guess with the internet, it’s difficult to keep those kinds of things under wraps

      • Hermione Granger

        Yeah, remember Smash 4…

        • DeltaPeng

True, though I must admit the reveal trailers/videos in Smash 4 were all very awesome (so I just saw them as they revealed). Hit the nostalgia hard and strong (particularly loved the Villager, Rosalina, Koopalings, Mega Man reveals)

  • Coonfoot

Maybe more on the single player campaign, hopefully.

    • Bruno_Ostara

I believe you might be right, they are teasing with the Calie and MArie story

  • Airsh Bornely

Nice! The 2 games that’ll get me to get a Switch earlier then later.

  • Carlos

    Don’t you mean “squidding”?

  • Nailz

    Stay Fresh!

  • Kid X

I wonder if they’re going to show us how traditional controls work, I’ve been playing the Switch mainly in handheld mode and I wonder if ARMS is going to be fun to play in handheld mode. I do know that they released how controls work on a single Joy-Con.

  • Hidden Flare

Well there was that new music band, but I guess they were not exactly in a trailer.

  • JJ

    Who cares, game looks unfun.

  • Ser2k2
  • Best Birthday Gift ever!
I had a dream last night with ARMS having a new trailer

    • Hermione Granger

      Happy birthday tomorrow!

  • Locky Mavo

Knew there’d be at least one more direct before E3

  • ForeVision

Just don’t bring the gloves directly to my face if you please, I will enjoy the fight from a distance 😛

  • Gamingfan

Garbage game made because of motion controls. The wii bs is dead nintendo, get over it.

    • AJK

It actually looks like its turning out to be a pretty good game. I was a bit doubtful when I saw the first trailer, but it looks like a pretty deep multiplayer. And you don’t even have to use any motion controls in the game if you don’t want to.
