    Is a Ps3, 3ds, vita and Wiiu game…Kinda low.

To be honest the budget for games like this must be pretty low, so I”m sure the must have turn a profit.even if it is a little one. As much as I loved the game its a niche audience in video games, in manga and anime One piece is a monster in terms of audience but we are not talking about that.

    • Yeah they put more effort into it than it looks but anime games are generally low-budget. However it works out despise that because they sell so much just off the name—650,000 is more than enough to turn a profit. Meanwhile, quality games that don’t have name recognition like Bayonetta 2, TW101, Code Name STEAM, etc. sell terribly–only a fraction of what this One Piece game sold, for instance.

So yeah, in order to put bread on the table, it’s way more profitable to go with what is known to sell (cough anime games) than risky new IPs and expenditures :/ (nothing against anime games it just is what it is, I bought 2 copies of this game myself, one for Wii U and one for 3DS, lol)

Surviving on brand name is common, but there is also the matter of “is it good”, I for one expected a lot for this game considering the disappointment of romance dawn and I’m glad it delivered.
