H’mmm I’m confused… whenever I see sales figures for the UK the comments sections gets filled with people criticizing what UK players buy, as though the US is full of discerning gamers… then I see a Top 10 for the past 12 months full of generic shooters and sports titles. It’s almost as though pleb content is the most popular in both countries….

    • Jaxon Holden

It’s been getting worse here lately.

But. US has a lot more people who buy other types of games, including Nintendo games.

Japan is the best place for gaming. The best selling games in Japan are DQ11, Splatoon 2, Zelda, Mariokart and Nier Automata.

”pleb content” is of course the most popular in both countries, but it is even more so (relatively) in the UK 😛 Nintendo practically went extinct there past gen

Destiny 2 may have sold the most, but it’s also the biggest disappointment of 2017 as well.

    • Don Zaloog

      Same with Mass Effect.

    • lina the clueless

lol yeah… many bought into all the hype. but the reviews were over all high but yet people seem to be dropping the game.. idk I get the feeling some reviewers were paid off….

The best sellers for the year are mostly pointing to a bad future for gaming.

    • Bảo Anh Hoàng

      Yeah, like ps4

  • Mando44646

I have yet to meet a real person who bought Ghost Recon. Who is buying this game!?

  • Supporter

Nice! Metroid Samus Returns was the best-selling 3DS game. It better be if people are serious about supporting the series. I’m really glad Monster Hunter Stories is second. Hey Pikmin is even on the list.

  • Kyle K. Moore

    Yeah MH Stories!!!

  • Stuart

Nice for Dragon Ball and Fifa.

  • Rafael Bueno

so MvC Infinite sold more than Samus Returns? sad

  • I was almost sad for the Switch and those 1 month numbers. Then I remember Switch has only been out for seven months, so that’s not bad that only one game is in that list.

Good for Metroid grabbing Sept.’s top 3DS spot.

Pretty awesome to see BotW, a game on a new console, up there with multiplat titles
