At least now we know how the song is named.

    • Fredy Rodriguez Ortega

it was know since the E3

      • Exposer

No, some people even me called it “Im your 1-Up girl”.

        • Fredy Rodriguez Ortega

yeah some people named it wrong but others somehow knew the correct tittle. i personally prefer the 1up girl one hehe. greetings pal

  • Blanco8x8

I expect a short version as the TV commercial. This is an excellent performance.

  • carlos holguin holguin

Wow mario really knowS how to dance

  • Seeker

Well, at least they fixed the look of the humans, now they look great and they can fit so many on the screen!

  • DonSerrot

Nintendo nailed it with this song and they know it.

  • hi v3.0

  • This song is total garbage and you should all be embarrassed of yourselves
I’d rather listen to Who Let the Dogs Out than this

        Irony, not bait

      • I’m being completely honest. This song is trash. Anyone praising it is broken.
This is not music. It’s an assault on your ears. It’s terrible. It’s up there with the worst songs I’ve ever heard, and I’m not exaggerating at all.
Whatever genre this is.. “jazz” or broadway musical style or whatever it is, is the worst possible type of music. Setting it to awful, cheesy video game lyrics makes it unbearable. I’d rather listen to 16khz white noise. I’d rather listen to anime theme songs.

        • Devlin Richberger

Wow dude what is wrong with you? The song isn’t fantastic but it is good.

          • What is wrong with you? The “song” is painful daggers to the ears

          • it’s so bad
this is a good video game song

        • TruExtent

As much as I disagree with you, I can at least add this: you aren’t the only one. My dad thinks the song is stupid. Then again he doesn’t like any video game songs. The only one I found he genuinely thinks is alright is Windy & Co from Conker.

          • I like a lot of video game music
The xenoblade 1 soundtrack is real good
            also this

          • TruExtent

That’s some quality taste right there. Good stuff. I go back and listen to Gaur Plains Night myself quite a bit. My boss let’s me put it on in the store I work at. If you feel like it tell me what you think of this:

Or if you want a cool trip through different sound fonts and styles from over the years try this compilation:

Welcome to the Fantasy Zone. GET READY!

          • this is a good jam

          • TruExtent

Glad you like it! There’s a 3DS theme of it available for purchase. After using the Samus Returns theme for a month, I’ve switched back to Space Harrier for my theme. Every time I open my 3DS it says “You’re doing great!” and when I load up an game it says “GET READY”. It’s a fav of mine.

        • R.Z.

I tried that 16 kHz White noise, it’s pretty awesome, thanks !
Not as good as Jump up Super Star though.

    • Ninty Kad

Someone must be dead inside 😛

      • you?

        • Ninty Kad

Nah, this song me me feel lively. But seriously, you never said anything about the song until now, and it’s been out for months. A little attention seeking, don’t you think?

    • Fredy Rodriguez Ortega

even if you hear it from a Wii U gamepad ?

  • Princess_Eevee9

For A Voice Actress she sings beautifully.

    • Ya know, seiyuu and some VAs used to be. . . semi-expected to sing? That’s still fairly true with seiyuu, but interesting that it fell off for VAs.

      • bdp

Western voice actors don’t usually have to sing themes and insert songs for the show though sometimes Funimation will have someone record their own version of something they couldn’t get the rights to or something.

        • I don’t think a lot of seiyuu do insert or op/ed themes anymore either (unless it’s one of those niche things), but it is true that Character/Image singles and albums are still a thing for some shows.

It’s just interesting that it’s something that’s fallen off a bit, when it used to be more prevalent with VAs too. Cree Summer comes to mind first, as do a handful of male VAs that I can’t remember the name of.

      • Princess_Eevee9

Ah I solely meant American/Western. Yet it’s very interesting that actors who work Cartoon Network/Nickelodeon and Especially Disney are expected to sing.

        • I get that with Disney, but it seems except for Steven Universe, that isn’t so expected on CN and Nick. Hub was kind of a mix (bless its resting soul). Interesting how things change though.

          • Princess_Eevee9

Preschool Nickelodeon Jr. Shows had tons of singing or close enough. Granted I only remember Blue’s Clues.

          • True, but younger children’s shows are a different audience since there actually is a lot of singing in them. I was thinking Sat-AM cartoons where we used to have VAs that could sing and were likely in a band or musician (at some point), but that’s becoming less of a thing.

          • Princess_Eevee9

Ooo then yes that is a point. Hmm, I wish more Voice Actors would get vocal training for singing or at least the Western things would be more standard for us.

          • Yeah, same. Maybe with how shows aimed at younger audiences are going through some changes, hopefully that will change too.

  • I like the song, it’s cute. Hilarious that they have a musical now. Game companies are really getting into these dance number advertisements. x’D

  • ジョシュ

Some people found this “cringy”. I found it interesting, refreshing, new, etc… Everyone loves music so it’s a good approach. I have never seen mario dancing like that! He got some moves. Can’t wait to play SMO! I need a switch first tho LOL!

    • Princess_Eevee9

Lemme tell you about this Dance Dance Revolution then.

  • jimmy
