  • WTFISTHISSHIT?

Xenoblade 2 drops off like a rock on the UK charts, not surprising coming from Nintendo’s worst market.

Brits have such s*** taste, buying games like Star Wars Battlefront II for Christ sake.

We are rubbish at making decisions here. Hence leaving the eu etc lol

Fun fact: I like more the British English dub in Xenoblade 1 than the American Dub in Xeno X.

I’m from South America and can’t attest for their taste in gaming, but Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Zelda, Mario+Rabidds, 1-2 Switch, Splatoon, Pokemon and freaking Miitopia are in the chart. Maybe Xenoblade isn’t there for another reason? It might be due to it beign out of stock, it’s not that good, a niche product…. pick your poison.

Stuff like that’s going to sell around the holidays, no matter how crap the game is. I mean, it’s selling for the exact same reason that games like Spongebob Heropants and Transformers: Rise of Dark Spark sell: because clueless non-gamers are buying presents for gamers, and in a sea of confusing titles they cling to the titles they know and like. Little Jimmy *likes* Star Wars, and there’s a big poster of it in the game store – it must be good!

Meanwhile Odyssey and MK8 are occupying impressive spots and still climbing… such poop taste, am I right?

Don’t delude yourself… a niche game like XB2 with its cringey characters will never be a bestseller in any country. Britain isn’t Nintendo heaven, but Xenoblade’s absence from the charts is entirely the game’s own fault

…I am ashamed for all gamers Star Wars is selling so well though <.<

      • Aline Piroutek

Because Xenoblade is niche and Star Wars isn’t

        • Tlink7

I know, but the game itself is still garbage

Typical sales drop for a JRPG like Xenoblade. Persona 5 was the top selling game of its launch week, and dropped out of the Top 40 a week later.

[insert game title] is a garbage until [insert any evil publisher] make amends and built a proper [reinsert game title] handheld ver.

  • Tlink7

All Switch titles are climbing in rank and some like Odyssey and MK8D are really high up… in the UK…

Armageddon must be upon us soon 😀

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sales are truly impressive. It’s a 8 month-old game outselling everything outside of the biggest blockbuster (COD WWII, FIFA 18, Battlefront 2, AssCreed Origins, GTAV, and Nintendo’s own Mario Odyssey).

It almost makes you forget that the game is just an enhanced port of a Wii U game.

Too bad on Xenoblade. Judging by these charts and how well games like Morrowind and Doom are doing in the US, it seems like there’s not only less of a market for Nintendo over there, but also a different demographic. Seems to be prodominantly parents buying for kids.
