Wii U gaining TurboGrafx-16 and MSX support in Japan, same goes for TurboGrafx-16 on 3DS

Nintendo is making progress with the Virtual Console on Wii U and 3DS… slowly.

Next week, the first TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine game will be hitting both eShops in Japan. The Wii U will also launch its debut MSX title.

No word yet on when support for these two platforms will be coming to the west. Soon, hopefully!

This is great news but there’s much catch-up work to be done for the Wii U VC to come even close to the varied library the Wii VC had. NES, SNES, N64, TG-16, Genesis, Master System, Neo-Geo, Arcade Titles, Commodore 64…

Would be nice to see MSX go overseas. My friends and I love Pentarou (Penta) and his games from Konami. Antarctic Adventure and Penguin Adventure (Antarctic Adventure 2) would be awesome overseas.

I’m sorry, but this isn’t nearly what I care to hear for 3DS. I’m pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say, “WE WANT SNES ON 3DS!!”

Agreed. An ancient smartphone can run GBA, SNES, even N64 titles. There’s no good reason why a modern 3DS cannot do the same.

Nintendo, why are you so slow with VC games…? They have so many games that need to be converted to be usable on the Wii U but haven’t gotten to them (at least that we’re aware of). I guess maybe if the Wii U starts selling more they may convert more VC games.
