3DS update out now (version 11.17.0-50), patch notes
Surprise: a new 3DS system update has just been made available – specifically version 11.17.0-50.
We’ll share the patch notes, but you probably could guess on your own what the official line is. Once again, Nintendo only makes note of system stability improvements.
The official patch notes for the 3DS version 11.17.0-50 system update are as follows:
Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.
While there’s nothing really of note here, it’s always amusing when a new 3DS firmware update is released. The last one dropped in September 2022 – and that one was naturally about stability as well.
Nintendo has obviously moved on from the 3DS, which launched in 2011. Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn was the company last release, and that one launched in 2019. Nintendo has also further moved on from the 3DS (and Wii U) by shutting down its eShop.
The only question now is whether Nintendo will come out with another 3DS update in the future. If that happens, expect it to be just like version 11.17.0-50.
